Jerry Cain — Experienced Managing Director at Slate Asset Management
With more than a decade of experience in distribution and capital raising, Jerry Cain laid the foundation for his career by earning a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Roanoke College. He then went on to attain a master of business administration at Northeastern University. Early on in his career, Jerry Cain held the title of director at Lazard Freres’ Private Capital Advisory Group in New York.
In this role, he formed relationships with real estate operators and general partners to facilitate North America distribution efforts. In 2018, Mr. Cain took on the position of senior managing director at JLL, where he led the firm’s funds advisory practice. Among his responsibilities, he assisted with the firm’s initiatives to expand its private investment advisory and capital raising efforts in North America. Since 2020, Jerry Cain has served as managing director at Slate Asset Management in Chicago.
In his free time, Mr. Cain is committed to staying active by playing a range of sports, particularly platform tennis, tennis, and golf. Additionally, he enjoys spending time with his family.
